If you are wanting to import a classic car to the UK from any EU country, then the registration process is relatively simple as long as you have the official paperwork from the country you are purchasing it in. You will need to provide evidence of the car history to the DVLA, it will need to be put through an MOT in the UK and you will need to apply for a V5C document in your name.

If you wish to transport a car into the UK from outside the EU, then the UK registration process is more complicated. We can deal with all the paperwork on your behalf, including Import Duty and VAT which is payable on entry. There are exceptions for cars more than 30 years old and which are in original condition and we can advise on what is required for your particular vehicle.
